Meet the Team

Sangeeta Patel, Ph.D

Sangeeta Patel, PhD, is the founder, CEO, and principal biological scientist of Product Solutions Research. Sangeeta brings 35 years of experience in research and development of biological consumer products, to include food and beverage products, nutritional supplements, over-the-counter medical supplements/nutraceuticals, pharmacognosy, and cosmetics.  

Sangeeta holds a PhD in Food Science and Toxicology from the University of California, Davis as well as a master’s degree in food engineering & chemistry from UC Davis and an additional master’s degree in Dietetics and Institution Management from MS University in India and recently, a certificate in Project Management from UC Davis.  

At PSR, our team provides advisory services for both start-ups and established biological products. Our services encompass product development and improvement, shelf-life stability, implementation of quality systems such as ISO 22000, large-scale commercialization, engineering and production process flow, toxicology, cost management, pricing, project management, regulatory compliance and certification, and scientific opinions.

Founder & Principal Scientist

Sharon Ball MD currently serves as a clinical and quality assurance advisor, as well as a science and medical writer and editor. She is responsible for evaluating scientific research findings relevant to PSR clients, monitoring the safety and quality of biological products and processes, and crafting communications with regulatory agencies, research teams, interested professionals, and the public.  

Sharon brings nearly four decades of experience as a practicing internal medicine physician in a wide variety of settings, encompassing not only direct patient care, but also administrative experience.  

Prior to joining PSR, Sharon served for 17 years as the assistant medical director of the Hernried Center for Medical Weight Loss, affiliated with Sutter Health in Sacramento, CA.  She has also worked in primary care, hospital-based medicine, critical care, and nursing home care during intervals of her career.  

Early in her career, she completed 7 years of military service with the U.S. Army Medical Corps, during which she attained the rank of Major and was awarded an Army Achievement Medal for her role as the Brigade Surgeon to the 41st Field Artillery in Germany.  

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from DePaul University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Illinois. She trained in internal medicine and geriatrics at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. She is board-certified in internal medicine and a licensed physician in California.

Dr. SHARON Ball

Saatyaki Amin is a dedicated and results-driven CPA Candidate with a strong foundation in finance and accounting, complemented by a BA degree in International Relations & Economics from University of California, Davis. His role at PSR is to provide financial insight to drive business efficiency and ensure meticulous compliance with reporting standards. 

With a diverse background encompassing general management, comprehensive bookkeeping, and specialized tax preparation, Saatyaki has a proven track record of optimizing financial operations, managing complex accounts, and successfully contributing to revenue growth and debt reduction. He is proficient in key accounting software like QuickBooks, UltraTax, and Lacerte, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
